Let's write to Congress (www.congress.org):
Dear Representative:
Our government has failed to place the blame for the death of human shields solely on the shoulders of jihadists. The US Government even paid family members of those used as shields by jihadists. You set a terrible precedent in allowing Shariah law to dictate US rules of engagement. You endangered our troops and compromised victory in the future. The same "civilians" in a Muslim country, where Islam rules "civilian" life, that passively helped jihadists would have turned on those activists in revenge themselves. They are being internally provoked to take sides now and will continue to be provoked after our troops leave. It keeps power struggles continuing so that the biggest thugs can gain power and the people are kept desperate. That is the way of Islamic politics. Our only "aid" and engagement should be with the Army Corps of Engineers building and rebuilding (and rebuilding and rebuilding) infrastructure with heavily armed, immune from Shariah law, protective troops covering such projects.
Those who want the Corps' help, will have to give political concessions and uphold individual human rights.
Let's stop being used as fools.
