Let's write to Congress (www.congress.org):
Dear Senator:
The Constitution of the United States, including all Amendments thereto,
is the supreme law of the land. The Second Amendment states:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be
infringed."
The United Nation's International Arms Trade Treaty, which was signed
by President Obama, would supersede and undermine our Constitutional
right to bear arms in bureaucratically banning the sale of arms to
citizens. At this time of global jihad and socialist/communist
politics, to take away the ability of citizens to independently arm
themselves for self-defense, even against tyranny of government, is
against the very reason for the Second Amendment. This treaty comes at a
time when President Obama has, via Executive Orders, given himself
martial law and war powers, taken control of all communications, set up
"Internment and Relocation camps" all over the country to be
unconstitutionally staffed by the Army, and has declared himself unbound
by the Constitutional boundaries of his office and in connection with
Congressional approval for his actions. Yet, the President, along with
yourself, took an oath of office to "PRESERVE, protect, and defend the
Constitution of the United States. As a citizen I am demanding and
expecting you to preserve our Constitution as the supreme law of the
land and to vote against the United Nation's International Arms Trade
Treaty.
Thank you.
