To
initiate war with Syria is NOT the call of the President, it is the
call of Congress (We the People by proxy). We the People need to rise
up, speak out, and DEMAND that Congress reset the powers of the
President to those limits set by the Constitution!
Constitution of the United States:

Dear Representative of We the People:
To
initiate war with or in Syria is NOT the call of the President, it is
the call of Congress (We the People by proxy). The Constitution is
still the supreme law of the land, and Article I, Section 8 of the
Constitution says, "The Congress shall have Power To...declare War...To
make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval
Forces...To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for
carrying into
Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this
Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any
Department or Officer thereof." Article II, Section 2 says, "The
President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United
States," and as such he is responsible to the Uniform Code of Military
Justice. (See http://www.ucmj.us/about-the-ucmj)
Article II, Section 3 says the President "...shall take Care that the
Laws be faithfully executed." Obviously, the President does not have
the legal authority to legislate, declare war, or circumvent the law.
The President is NOT the king and the military is NOT for the
President's personal agenda and use.
Prior
Presidents have engaged the United States Military in minor wars,
resulting in Congress passing the War Powers Resolution. (See http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/war_powers)
The War Powers Resolution specifically restricts Presidential power,
such as requiring 48 hours notice to Congress for congressional
oversight of any military action and withdrawal of troops after 60 days
if military action is not ratified by Congress. President Obama,
however, has many times declared that he is not bound by the limitations
imposed by the Constitution and by Congress. He initiated (i.e.,
declared) war in Libya, which Congress has never approved, and, getting
away with that action, is now intending to initiate war in Syria.
United States military action in Syria may be the catalyst for World
War III as Russia and China have both warned against it. President
Obama is in effect furthering the Muslim Brotherhood's global jihad,
pitting the U.S. against the rest of the world, and that agenda cannot
be tolerated.
United
States foreign policy, with regard to the Muslim Brotherhood's 1928
founding goal of restoring the worldwide Islamic Caliphate under Sharia
law (http://ikhwanonline.com/),
used to be to support in effect secular Muslim leaders (e.g., Saddam
Hussein,
Egypt's President Mubarack, etc.) who would not likely be engaged in
global jihad. Since the ousting of Saddam Hussein and the Arab Spring began, however, the Muslim
Brotherhood and it's global jihad factions have sought to depose such
secular Muslim leaders and replace them ("democratically" or otherwise)
with global jihad leaders such as President Morsi. President Obama has
sent U.S. troops, arms, fighter jets, and taxpayer funds to assist in
the global jihad's seditious goal in many countries. President Obama
has even facilitated the cover up of arming a global jihad group (al
Qaeda, our enemy) by murder of American citizens, even an Ambassador, in
Benghazi. Congress cannot continue to passively support such treason
by the President. Such passivity is empowering and emboldening the next
step of Syria.
President
Obama's proposed Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) in
Syria is an attempt to render and reserve sole discretion for worldwide
military force to the President no matter how loosely affiliated with
his stated original goal. (See http://www.lawfareblog.com/2013/09/the-administrations-proposed-syria-aumf-is-very-broad/)
Do you really think We the People have forgotten that Saddam Hussein's
use of WMD's on his own people was President Bush's stated reason for
the Iraq invasion only to later declare there were no such
weapons because they could not be found? Even then, the war extended
to Afghanistan via its affiliation. Do you really think We the People
are unaware that our troops have been held down by suicidal rules of
engagement in Iraq and Afghanistan ever since, for over ten years while
the global jihad weakened, exhausted, and picked off our troops? Do you
really think We the People are selfish, lazy, and uninformed enough to
not care if our President continually acts as the de facto Caliph
(leader of the Islamic caliphate) in assisting the global jihad? Do you
think we WANT a Sharia-compliant, Socialist/Communist take over of the
United States because our troops are gone? No. Please live up to your
oath of office to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the
United States" against the domestic threat named Barack Hussein Obama
and restore the Presidency to it's Constitutional limitations, voting
against
President Obama's Syrian overreach agenda. Impeach President Obama and
his entire Administration for treason and restore the Constitution as the supreme
law of the land, repealing/striking down via legislation all measures so
opposed. Your action is expected and appreciated. We the People are
awake and watching.
