States Shore Up the Constitution!

Washington State Representative Shea has introduced the Fourth Amendment Protection Act, HB 2272 (See http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx?bill=2272&year=2013, text:  http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2013-14/Pdf/Bills/House%20Bills/2272.pdf).  This Bill is in response to widespread NSA surveillance and data storage of U.S. citizens in violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution and Article 1, Sections 2, 3 and 7  of the Washington State Constitution (See http://www.leg.wa.gov/LawsAndAgencyRules/Pages/constitution.aspx).  The Federal Government's rationale to so violate our constitutional rights is to stop generic "terrorism," but without our constitutional protections anyone of us can be deemed a "terrorist," a "threat" against the Federal Government.  Lenin, Stalin, Hitler all did the same.  We need to enforce the laws we already have against violent, destructive, seditious plotting and actions while preserving our God-given rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

The Fourth Amendment Protection Act aggressively defends our Fourth Amendment rights and, under this Bill, State funds will not be used to violate our Fourth Amendment rights by any federal agency within the state.  Under this Bill, those violating Fourth Amendment rights will be subject to losing their jobs, and/or losing their government contract, and be guilty of a gross misdemeanor.  In addition, the Bill protects the right to sue of any citizen whose rights have been so violated.  Every state in the union needs such a Bill to restore the Constitution as the supreme law of the land!  Such Bills can be introduced and passed, but ONLY when constituents rise up and DEMAND that they be passed!

Dear Representative of We the People:

The Constitution is the supreme law of the land.  The Federal Government is an agent of the States, but is overstepping its Constitutional boundaries and violating our Fourth Amendment rights to privacy and security in our persons and effects.  Widespread NSA surveillance without a search warrant is only one example of such violation.  We the People in communities of states need protection such as the Fourth Amendment Protection Act introduced in Washington State, HB 2272 (See http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx?bill=2272&year=2013, text:  http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2013-14/Pdf/Bills/House%20Bills/2272.pdf).  Please live up to your oath of office to "PRESERVE, protect and defend the United States Constitution" and pass this legislation!
